Underside hind-wing: Is there a white dashed line crossing the wing?
What is meant is a white discontinuous line in the postdiscal or submarginal area . It primarily charcterizes the Hairstreaks (Theclinae), where the line can be so strongly interrupted that it can even be missing (Green Hairstreak - rubi). Many white lines can be found on Short-tailed Blue and Lang's Short-tailed Blue (boeticus, pirithous). |
