Baldia's Colorless-Group: for Blues, which have on the underside no orange, silver-spots, brush-wipe, basal-dots and tail, that is "alexis - argiolus - minimus - semiargus - alcon/rebeli - iolas - osiris - daphnis m. - nausithous - teleius - orbitulus";
Baldia's Thersites-Group:
for Blues, which have orange and a brush-wipe on the underside, but no basal-dots on the fore-wing, that is "thersites - icarus f. icarinus - agestis - artaxerxes - dorylas - escheri - eumedon";
Baldia's Silver-dot-Group:
for "argus - argyrognomon - idas - optilete";
Baldia's Short-tailed-Group :
for True Blues, with a tail on the hind-wing margin but without silver-dots, that is "argiades - alcetas - decolorata";
Baldia's Migrant-Blues-Group:
for True Blues with a tail and silver-dots, that is "boeticus - pirithous".
Baldia's Copper-Group : for Lycaeninae (Coppers); The fore-wing-underside is orange-yellow (except tityrus-male) and there is an unevan margin.
Baldia's Hairstreak-Group: for Theclinae (Hairstreaks); There is a white dashed line crossing the hind-wing-underside, which ist sometimes very pale. The tail on the hind-wing margin is noticeable except on rubi.
